With great excitement, I’m pleased to share my debut EP ‘and a Stillness Washed Over Me’ with you all. It’s understating it to say that this feels like an important milestone in my career as a musician. I’ve spent the last few years writing and rewriting the material on this EP, agonising over the running order of the tracks and scrapping pieces entirely, but I finally feel confident that it’s now ready for release.

The title: ‘and a Stillness Washed Over Me’ refers to a sensation I’ve experienced whilst sat behind the desk I write music at. I often gaze out of the window and whilst staring intently at the trees in the distance, a feeling of isolation will overcome me and, in that moment, It feels like the world around me has ceased to exist. This sensation sounds inherently lonely and melancholic but in fact it’s a comfortable feeling that brings on a sense of clarity and realisation. During these moments of self-reflection over the last few years, I’ve noticed a parallel in the way that I’ve been searching for my place in the world whilst also following the cliched age-old journey of a musician trying to fulfil the rite of passage of discovering their own sound.

I'll leave it up to you to decide as to whether the aforementioned feelings have translated into the music contained within this EP, but either way I hope you enjoy listening to it and I'll have more to share with you soon.
